History

1937 Founded as a designated shop by the Department of Transportation and started to make and supply locomotive and electric train parts.
1960 Started hammering die forging and went into automotive industries.
1961 Incorporated as O-oka Forge Corporation in Nagoya city.
1967 Takaoka plant was formed in Toyota city.
1971 Heat treatment was introduced.
Trade Union was formed.
1973 Closed-die hot forging was introduced.
1977 Cold forging was introduced.
1979 Machining process was introduced.
1983 Warm forging was introduced.
1987 Sasabara plant was built, Cold forging and machining process were transfered to the plant.
1989 Precision die and Tooling shop was built.
1990 Changed of name to O-oka Corporation.
1992 Plant Maintenance award class 2 for supperior business operation.
1993 Received the 5th "excellent technology and new product award" for small and medium-sized business.
1998 Certified QS 9000 / ISO 9001
2001 Certified ISO14001:2004
Apr. First overseas office in Düsseldorf, Germany.
2003 Sep. Joined 60th Frankfurt Motor Show.
Oct. Established O-Oka Europe GmbH.
2005 Apr. O-Oka Europe GmbH moved from Düsseldorf to Frankfurt.
Jul. 2nd Takaoka Plant Completion.
Aug. Awarded 1st Monozukuri-Japan Prize.
Dec. Expanded the forging facilities at Takaoka Plant.
Dec. Awarded Chubu Science and Technology Center Special Prize.
2006 Apr. Nominated for "The best 300 small & medium manufacturing enterprise" who leads Japanese industry, by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
Dec. Awarded "Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Director-General Prize" of the 4th Promoting Machine Industry Award.
Dec. Awarded "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Prize" of the 20th Chunichi Industrial Technichnology Award.
Dec. Certified ISO/TS 16949.
2011 Jun. Expansion of the South-buildings in 2nd Takaoka Plant.
Dec. Built a new tooling shop in Takaoka.
2012 Jun. Dalian, China office was incorporated.
2013 May USA representative office was incorporated.
May Inauguration of Hot & Cold forging plant in Muroran city, Hokkaido.
2015 Apr. Installed a green wall for environmental.
Jul. Expanded and built a Takaoka 3rd plant.
2017 Dec. Selected "Companies Driving Regional Growth" by the Japanese government.
2018 Feb. Awarded "GOOD COMPANY AWARD".
Nov. Chairman Mitsushige Ooka awarded "The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette"
2019 Apr. Expanded and built a Muroran North plant.
